The Name Is Misleading
A Printed Appliance, Not a Soft Guard
KeySplint Soft is a printed resin appliance with resilience in the material. It gives under load. What it is not is a thermoformed EVA soft guard — the squashy sports-guard-style tray a patient can fold in half. This is dimensionally a designed appliance, finished and delivered like one. It simply is not rigid.
Nor is it the soft layer inside a Comfort H/S nightguard: that is a laminate, a resilient liner against the teeth with a hard shell above carrying the occlusion. This is one printed material, resilient the whole way through.
-
Printed, not thermoformed: Digitally designed and printed in a resilient splint resin, washed and post-cured before finishing.
-
Resilient, not squash: Give under load, not the fold-in-half softness of an EVA tray.
-
One material through: Not the soft liner of a dual laminate — resilient the whole way through.
